The multipurpose facility at Stockton College featured an approximately 40,000 square foot roof area, which was being considered for installation of solar panels in 2008. The roof structure was comprised of 3” cellular acoustic metal deck supported on steel wide flange beams. These wide flange beams were supported on trusses spaced at 20 feet on center and spanned about 185 feet. Grey Fox Consulting’s evaluation of the existing roof allowed for the installation of approximately 2,000 solar panels generating 320 kilowatt of electricity.
